Grade 2: Houses

Students started by drawing historic houses in Framingham from observation.
Today they began to draw houses from their imaginations.
Everyone did a great job using watercolor techniques to paint their imaginary houses.

Grade 5 TAB

TAB stands for Teaching for Artistic Behavior and is a choice based teaching approach. In these types of classes students get to choose the medium and subject for their artwork. Grade five students have been busy making meaningful artwork. They got to choose to do sculpture or drawing. Here are some photos from day 1.

Grade 5, Self-Directed Art

Grade 5 is learning how to Reflect by answering a reflection question during each self-directed art class.
Students are engaging and persisting while creating their sculptures.... A Fifth grader created this sculpture and said it represented "one person that was made up of all the people in the world".
Below are more photos showing work from day three in the studio.
Below are some finished works from our last class where we spent a lot of time looking and reflecting.
